January & February Develop key messages and participate in the Advocacy Kickoff webinar on February 7th or watch the recording.
March Review handouts, talking points and key messages then participate in County Day on March 13 or setup a local meeting your legislators.

2023
September “Post About Hunting Season” Share information about hunting season and licensing on your website, social media, and with your local media partners such as local newspapers. Be sure to note a follow-up action to encourage people to contact you, the local recorder, for more information. Just make sure to use a royalty-free photo! October “Make A List” Compile a list of 10-20 key stakeholders that use your office services frequently. Look through businesses that submit documents in your county and start breaking down your list into industries. Refer to the OCTOBER newsletter for the complete list.

November “Send A Greeting Card” Send a greeting card to 10-key stakeholders in your county (October’s Challenge). With the holiday season upon us, send a card with a brief and sincere message to remind the individual of your connection. Perhaps this is your first time reaching out and this could be a way to introduce yourself.

December “Plan, Track & Celebrate” Advocacy is a year-round effort, therefore, your challenge is to celebrate your accomplishments, start think about planning a community event, and begin logging all communications you have with legislators and other stakeholders. Be sure to use the Tracking Log Tools to help you stay organized!
